Happy Mother's Day

In honor of Mother's Day I wanted to say a little bit about the two moms in my life.

My Mama has taught me a lot over the years. She has taught me that my first love above all else should be Jesus. She has taught me what true respect and godly submission look like within a marriage. She has taught me that you can be a strong woman and a godly woman at the same time. She has taught me what it looks like to love your children with the love of Christ - unconditional, committed, sacrificial. And she has taught me that God truly changes you if you allow Him to. There are so many others, but these are the things that I have learned the most from.

The other mom in my life is my mother-in-law, Joyce. She has been a true blessing in my life - one I am aware that not all daughters-in-law have. She has loved my husband well and taught him many things. She has taught him to be loving, caring, tender, and giving. She gave of herself constantly while Dave and Ali were growing up so that they could become the people that they are. She has loved me, welcomed me, and made me feel a part of their family. She has told me that she thinks I'm a good wife and mom - words that are invaluable to me. She has loved my children and I am glad to have them call her Grandma.

So, thank you Mama and Joyce for all you have done in our lives - mine, Dave's, and our childrens'. You are amazing blessings to us and we thank God for you. We honor you today.
