A Conversation About Sewing

Elizabeth was hanging out with me while I was sewing this week. She came over to me, wearing a regular t-shirt, and we had the following conversation.
E: Mommy, why does Granmama sew regular sleeves like this (indicating a full seam sleeve on her shirt) and you always just do ribbon? (I have made her several pillowcase dresses which just have ribbon over the shoulder, MUCH easier than a regular sleeve)
Me: Because Granmama is a better sewer than me.
E: How old are you?
Me: 30 about to be 31
E: How old is Granmama?
Me: Mmmm, 63 or 64.
E: Will she live longer than that?
Me: Probably, yeah.
E: Well, maybe someday you will become an even better sewer than Granmama.

Maybe, just maybe. (Not very likely, but one can dream.)
